Default what's under my console?

i am thinking about selling my console to someone local, but if i take mine out, is there just carpet underneath? I am probably gonna upgrade to Rick's or Mastergrade's CF.
But i want to sell mine before I order, so need to know if this is an easy job or not...

etc.

Look at the installation guide on Rick's site. Pull our up and see what is there.

But...
No, there is no carpet under the vinyl in a MY02. Rick's installs right over the stock console cover. To remove the stock cover, you will need to remove the dash on the front, and the center compartment in the rear. I don't think it is worth the effort.

I think that comparing "Mastergrade's CF" and Rick console cover is apples and oranges. Rick's covers the vinyl under the stock plastic center console. While Mastergrade's replaces the plastic of the center console. In other words you could install both Rick's and Mastergrade's consoles in the same car, and only have the stock plastic left over.

Stratocaster is oh so right. Removing the center console is one very large job. For MY 2002's and 2003's our leather cover installs right over the stock vinyl.

Looks like you are right. From the Pics it looks like they do the same job. My bad. From all the other stuff they make, I assumed they made a replacement piece for the console.
