Sorry - but it's just like that S2000 crash video they tried to keep of the Internet.... the more you try to avoid it, the more people want to use it.

I have often wondered where the STOOK name came from ?? From my first lurkings on this board back in November of 2001, the word STOOK was used even back then. I'm only guessing here, but I thought it was just another why to say S2000. The S is obvious .... the TOO is a 2 (go figure) and the K for thousand.

Anyone else know or have a guess about the origin of STOOK ??

We must get rid of that unmellifluous name! It sounds a bit like 'shtup,' which is a Yiddish vulgarism used to describe the sex act.

Ummm Dude. Relax. That was almost 60 years ago and that was a Stuka. I'm just as glad we kicked some ass in WWII but you should read some of the books written from the German/Japanese side ('Horrido' for German Luftwaffe Aces and anything about the Lae Wing for the Japanese Aces are some good books to start on). Most of them were just soldiers doing their job, not NAZI party members.

If you're that sensitive about Nazis for historical reasons, what are you doing driving a Japanese car? They weren't exactly our buddies either. Shouldn't you be driving a domestic, or something from the UK?

The S2000 has the purpose and creature comforts of the average piece of military equipment, compared to a luxo-ragtop.
