I'm a total fan of the Bad Brains. Tell us more about the Omega Sessions. I have quite a few of their discs but that one I've never heard of.

Thanks.

Me too, Dierk! My brother (who lives in SF and gets to see all the good shows) turned me on to them & I've been buying up all their stuff ever since.

Some say Bad Brains is the greatest hardcore punk band of all time but I don't know about that, being an old dude. Their musicality amazes me. It's a blur of reggae, hardcore, funk & punk that is totally genre disrespecting, or, as we used to say back in the psychedelic era, mind-bending.

The Omega Sessions were recorded in 1980. The EP (I think it's 5 songs) was released a few years ago and I'm pretty sure it's still in print. The Omega Sessions were the first multi-track sessions recorded by the Bad Brains.

Did I mention Buju Banton in that other post? Bad Brains was actually in the player but Buju was standing by. Take care, maybe I'll run into you at Maritime Hall.

S2K sound system just ain't all that great. I have to crank down the treble to -4 to keep my ears from frying and then touch up the volume. Then again, I wouldn't want a great audio system in this car, it would isolate me from the road too much. But it's interesting to see what others are listening to. Recently I've been listening to:

Gene Vincent and the Blue Caps--The Screaming End
Kraftwork--Trans-Europe Express
Remember Shakti--Saturday Night in Bombay [Live]
