Default Whats your top speed?

I just got an 07 S2000 two weeks ago, but havent been able to hit top speed, YET?

What should I be able to hit with a completely stock S?

How fast have you gone in your S? Is there a governor in place? Even though I haven't driven the previous S that redlined at 9K RPM, im a little dissapointed that this one red lines at 8K rpm, becauce I dont get much vtec. What can I do to help me hit vtec sooner?

Thanks!!!!

He's making it up.

Your AP2 is capable of about 154. It is limited by red line in 6th gear. AP1's had different gearing but about the same top end but they were limited by drag. Both of these are top up.

Top down speeds will be lower. Maybe 140 or so. Bear in mind that the speedo is not accurate at high speeds.

I haven't had an area to drive that fast much, but so far my 07 has had it up to 142 (GPS confirmed). It got there pretty quick too.

I'm making it up?

I haven't topped mine out, but everything I've read puts the top speed at 163-164 drag limited... I've seen a guy with stock gearing and a supercharger hit 175 (got past drag limits and redlined 6th gear...

Maybe everything I read was based on the AP1... is the AP2 really that different? and no, I wasn't pulling ish out of my butt...

In this case, yes you are making it up because your information is not correct by any means. Like stated above, the AP2s are limited by gearing on 6th gear at 155-156 mph. AP1s are drag limited also as stated above due to longer gearing. BTW....you should also realize that a vtec controller would be irrelevant in this case.

i think AP2 are redline at 151 miles because of gearing.
