Wheel Alignment - even for a new s2k
There was a post a few weeks back from someone asking if even a brand new s2k needs wheel alignment upon delivery. I had wondered the same question and I feel I might need a wheel alignment. I got my car back on Feb 28th and have put on almost 1800 miles on it since. All these time I feel the car's handling is a bit weird. Upon acceleration the car feels unsettling. At high speeds on the highway the car just doesn't give me that very solid planted feeling that I expect. And today as I was doing a huge roundabout on the highway on ramp and I realized something else. I was not going very fast, maybe 40mph around this big right hand turn, and each time I press the gas, the car would push forward like it is understeering even though my steering wheel is in a turning position (pointing at 2 O'clock). I bleeped the gas a few more times to feel this and every time I bleep the gas the car would push straight instead of smoothly push around the turning direction. I then totally suspected I need a wheel alignment. I don't think this would be normal as it seem very dangerous. I can't imagine how this push would be like if I was going at very high speeds on this turn. The car had always felt like it has alot of loaded energy when I am making turns which want to force the car to go in some other direction. Maybe my toe is off.
Had anyone noticed this ?

Many S2000's come from the factory not aligned to spec. I would recommend that anyone who buys an S2K have the alignment checked. In fact, in the case of a new S2K, I'd recommend negotiating an alignment into the purchase contract.

. For the first 18-24 months I was running around on whatever alignment it came with. I have no idea whether that alignment was to spec or not. Based upon some of the stories I've read here I figure it's a 50/50 chance it was to spec.
??? your car was aligned a copule times in the last 18 months but not to spec? why wasn't it aligned to spec?
And why did you have it aligned twice in such a short period? Did you hit something?
