Default Wheel arch protection

I've notice the rear wheel arch has a black piece of molding around it but I see it does not extend to the rear bumper portion of the arch. I seem to be getting lot's of chips on this exposed area. Does anyone know of any place I can get molding like this http://bkhondaparts.com/billkay/jsp/prddis...011%7C009%7C009 (item #11) to protect the exposed portion of the wheel arch behind the rear wheels? Or does anyone have any other suggestions?

Thanks,
Drew

I found that to be a problem with our tires because they are so sticky. I ended up having a guy cut a piece of clearbra film and apply it on the rear bumper inside the wheel arch and along the bottom of the rear bumper and I haven't had any chipping in those areas.

Most local tint shops do it, just call around those places.

you know the typical rear quarter panel rust that hondas are soooo famous for?
many people including myself strongly suspect that this rubber strip is what causes this rust. the rubber strip collect and traps moisture and dirt in it. over time that water and dirt rubs through the paint and exposes the bare metal for oxidation A.K.A rust.
i remove it from all my hondas. i have also noticed that newer hondas dont come with them anymore.
