If you seriously want to race, stick to the stock 16s and spend the money on race rubber.

or try to buy an used OEM JDM wheels (16" and 13 lbs each) and you will save, 20 lbs which is like 60lbs on movement

Looks like the 17's WIN!!!

Of course, if this were not a forum for S2000 people, we would all be told to go home on our 17's

Yeah, not sure why though.

I adore my 18s (Volk GT-Cs)

No noticeable difference in performance (by my butt), dynamite looks (IMO)..

BUT 17s if you solo your car and want to drive on the same rims. Ive kept my stocks for this reason.

What do you mean by race? Stoplight "racing", drag racing, freeway "racing", track days, or wheel-to-wheel roadcourse racing?

Knowing him, he is talking about that 2:00 AM back country road racing.

Im running SSR GT1 Integral in 17"
17x7 +48 215/45/17
17x8 +50 235/40/17

Now I wished i had gone for a 17x7 +35 and 17x8 +35 offset for a flusher look with the fenders....
Also since you do track the car, id consider offsets for the wheels carefully especially if you plan to use bigger brakes next time. Brakes like the spoon calipers need quite a bit of room to fit behind the wheels....
ah wells, happy choosing!
