I took a long drive today and focused solely on my shifting. I tried rev-matching whenever I downshifted to get familiar with how much throttle is needed. Once I get rev-matching down, I am going to try to work on my heel-toeing. I was just wondering how often you guys match revs.

I heel and toe during some spritired driving...not all the time...
but sometimes when the coast is clear accelerate into a corner in 3rd..heel-toe into 2nd at 6000rpm...
Its a good feeling!

pretty much all the time. since i downshift to engine brake, rev matching helps reduce the wear on thge clutch, and is a precursor to heel toe shifting should I need to do so.

 

I never watch the rpm's becuase I learned on an econ car that didnt have a tac. Im just used to listing to the engien. When she's in pain you can hear her
