Agreed. When ODOT (Ohio DOT) drops the initial layer of brine on the roads, that's it. Thankfully, being in Southwestern Ohio, we are one of the last places in the state to be treated, unlike the "snow belt" (Toledo to Cleveland to points East).

Mine is going away this weekend. I used to wait for the salt, but I find it easier these days to wash and detail the car during nicer weather. (Sucks hand washing the car when it is 40, windy, and spitting rain.) Also...it is dark when I leave for work and, with the time change, it will be dark on the way home. Temps are dropping into the 40s next week. It is time.

Very soon up here in Canada, cars will never see salt and extremely rarely see rain.

If my tires have useful life, I put it away when it gets to be 35-40ish degrees fairly consistently.

If my tires are not going to be worth tracking on anymore next year.... then party on into the 20's or teens...or until they spread salt.

I don't drive it in salt.

When the roads in CT get their first treatment or when it's consistently below 50-60 degrees. Whichever comes first.

My 2000 model year S2000 always gets stored before salt hits the road. Probably could count on one hand the number of times it has even been caught out in the rain for that matter. Yeah, I know, it has been carefully washed hundreds of times however. (and thoroughly dried, often with a Master Blaster.)
