Anybody know if Honda is considering bringing the "V-type" to America or updating the car soon? I know the NSX has retained its basic body shape for the past 9 yrs and only had 1 engine upgrade (which is a good thing in the case of the body) I hope they offer upgrades in engine/handling for S2K sooner though...I would love a bit more low end power.

KidS2K, from what I've read and heard, I don't believe Honda ever plans on "updating" the S2000. Of course, no one has any hard facts on whether or not this is the case.

What about that rumor of the v-6 VTEC S2000 for MY 2002 that will kick out 350HP to the wheels with 220 ft/lbs..???? I also hear it will have a nice clock, superb sound system, great carpeting, and a grind-less tranny. Oh yeah, I believe it also comes with the matching hard-top as standard equipment.

My source tells me that current owners of the inaugural MY2000 S2000 will get first dibs on delivery and color choice... including the elusive Blue we have all hoped for.

"Honey! Honey! Wake up! You must have been having some dream. You sat up in bed, your feet were twitching and you kept waving your arms arms in the air like you had hold of some sort of wheel. Are you okay?"

As his head cleared, Hootsama knew he would never be able to explain fully. "Yes, I'm fine dear. I was just dreaming."

Well said, LSC. See, folks, this is where rumors begin.

The imagination is a very powerful thing.

It all depends on the profits the S2000 makes for Honda. They won't update it if they can make more money producing some other model.
