I just ordered the K&N Gen II from Crutchfield. $269.00 free shipping and their delivery is quick. If you shop, you might find a slightly better price, but I've always had good luck with them.

I looked through Crutchfield but they dont have FIPK for a 2005 S2000, maybe you can give me a link?

As for the ebay one, it does not say Gen 2 anywhere, is that normal?

K&N # for the '03 is 57-3514. The '05 needs #63-3514 according to the K&N site. I don't see it listed in Crutchfield either.

By looking at this intake, is there a chance for heatsoak to affect it with it being open? I may be wrong, but what is the difference between doing this, or replacing the factory air filter with a K&N filter and running with the top of the stock airbox off? Is there much of a difference?
Thanks

I bought 57-3514 for my 05 and it works great 5 months ago...$220 was going price
249.00 I just seen... and most were near $300

I think the ser. 63 is different... listing as "Air Charger"

So is that any difference between the 57-3514 and the 63-3514?

picturepro, remover stock air deflector and get a cooling plate (ie AUT Design)should give you better air flow to the FIPK
