Ahh, gotcha. I guess the seat lock thing kinda overshadowed your other questions.

As you know, the car already comes with an immobilizer system. Of course, you can still get an aftermarket alarm system with dual zone proximity sensors and shock sensors. LoJack will help you to retrieve your car in the event it is stolen but my view is, if it's stolen, do you really want it back? If a thief wants your car bad enough, no device will prevent this from happening. You can't prevent it being yanked onto a flatbed.

PM SenseiRick from the NY Metro group. He's the one who made up the decals. Pretty sure he made those a couple of years ago. Not sure if he still has any but he might make a new batch up if there's enough people. They looked pretty good

removable steering wheel hub? i thought this would be somewhat of an anti theft device. the theif would have to go out of the way to get a matching wheel to attach to the hub in order to drive it off. it made sense to me

You could easily do a Google search to find out what this does. It's pretty universal for any car manufacturer who uses it.
But basically, it is a system where the ECU must see a designated code imbedded in a chip or pellet in the key before it will allow the engine to start and run. So, you need the correct cut of key and also the matching code to run the car.

I'd just add that if you're looking to make your car a PITA to steal or steal from, a dual stage alarm, seat locks, and a kill switch will do the job. Like the man said, if someone wants your car bad enough, they'll get it, but I see no reason not to make it a most troublesome experience for the thief.

My logic is first the alarm makes a lot of noise, deters casual theives, and is one loud problem for a thief to deal with, top up or down.

Second, seat locks ensure a lot of effort for no seats, plus the knowledge that the thief can't come back to my car and try again once seats are replaced.

Third is a kill switch - even if the thief has the correct key, still being unable to start the car is unexpected and frustrating. Even if they get my car once, they will be unlikely to try again.
