I see a lot of S2K's with that black cover on the covertable. When the covertable top is down, there is that black cover that covers the top...... is that stock? Where can I get one for my ride? Sorry for the dumb question, but I'm a new S2K owner and I wanted to know, did I get ripped off by my salesman? Did he forget to tell me about that option?

That's not an option. The cover comes with the car.

Have you opened up your trunk to see if it is there? You should have one. If not, call your dealer immediately. While you're at it, ask him if there is anything else he didn't tell you about the car. I know I didn't know where my owner's manual was until the salesman brought someone else out to show me my "secret compartment" where the manual was.

The cover is not an option and comes with the car as standard equipment.

Hey thanks guys!!!! I really appreciate the help. I'm an ex-Lexus owner and it was a pain to figure out my IS 300. Now I'm trying to figure the IN's and OUT's of my S 2000. Thanks again!!!

we often call it a "boot"...
the service manual calls it a "convertible top cover"!!
it should have been folded up in the trunk at delivery.

It looks great, but is a real PITA to use.

Once you get used to it, it isn't that bad. I can usually have mine on in about 45 seconds and off in 30. It's especially easy in warmer weather.

I love mine. I have not found a reason to take it off yet, so it is not a hassle for me. The car looks sooo much better with it on.
