Mine typically resides in the storage slot/coin holder just behind the cup holder in the console. I have a Samsung flip phone so it doesn't stick up and get in my way, and it fits perfectly in that slot..

I've got a Motorola V710 and I clip the belt clip/holster to the small net on the passenger side of the center console. Works great, I've done this with all the Motorola cell phones I've had and can't find a better spot. It's easy to reach when it rings, stays out of the way, and never moves no matter how hard I take a corner.

Depends on what kind of phone you have but the back of my Samsung sticks to magnets (the battery pack). I got a round magnet about the size of a quarter, quarter of an inch thick, and used 3m double sided adhesive and stuck it on the audio button that is right above the engine start button. I never miss a call and I can keep my eyes on the road. Apparently the magnet doesn't have any kind of ill-effects on the cell.

Is that so you don't disturb anyone while driving, or because you just like the sensation?
