Too late.. mine is in my console compartment, when driving it sits in the coin holder. I'm not really a fan of those robotic arm looking mounts and I like being able to lock it up when I leave the car.

I was thinking the passenger footwell net. I ordered a blitzsafe adapter this morning. When it comes in I'm running the wire directly into the passenger's footwell.

mine is on the dash ontop of this non-slip rubbery thing i picked up from best buy. it also holds my cellular and shades when the ipod is left at home.

what about mounting it in the vent above the hvac controls?

Mounted my Archos Jukebox with Velco to a Panavise mount off the headunit. Used a PIE Aux adapter from the back of the headunit and ran it under the passenger console kickplate. Works like a champ.

I have my 30g ipod mounted on the center console to the left of the stick. It is hooked in to the CD changer input via an IceLink adapter. I initially thought the location would interfere with both my leg and shifting, but it works out okay.

Will the ICELink allow the Ipod to be controlled by the radio? I heard that Apple and Alpine were working on this.

IceLink offers limited control from the stock head unit, mainly the ability to change the track in the current playlist. I believe an all Alpine solution (head unit and ipod interface) gives full control. BTW, the audio quality through the IceLink is quite good.
