I have the document holder that hooks on behind the seat. Keeps everything out of the way. It's a little inconvenient to reach but that's not too big an issue. I currently have that document holder under the floormat on the passenger side.

Police are going to love it when you reach behind the seat.

Or better yet, when he reaches down in the passenger compartment for the document and they think hes going for something else under the seat.

Picked up one of these and hung it behind the passenger seat. Holds repair receipts and all other documents.

Insurance card in wallet, registration in a drawer at home. Cops never ask me for registration, just license and insurance card. VIN is printed on the insurance card anyway, the cop can look up the registration online.

In "secret compartmet". I use a small ring binder for my gas-mileage log, the docs reside in a pocket in the cover of the binder.

Owner's manual, not used all that often, resides in trunk well.

I keep most of the documents in my Muz trunk saddlebag, I would only keep the insurance certificate and vehicle registration in the secret compartment as most Police don't want you getting out of the vehicle during a stop.
