I was washing my car yesterday and noticed that the rear wheel openings are unlined. If I remember corectly, my '01 had plastic wheelwell liners. Or mabye I am mistaken. Anyway, I drove up to my dealer and looked at another black on black car like mine and it had no fenderliners either.


1. Are there wheelwell liners on early cars?
2. Will they fit my car
3. Why would they remove them on the AP2 cars

Also, if I need to add oil during the break-in period (before my first service) what brand/weight should i use?

 

You are mistaken. There are no liners back there.

As for adding oil, use any brand name 10W30 non-synthetic like Castrol, Pennzoil. This is also stated in your owner's manual as to the oil specs.

 

Yuo'r mistaken,no plastic wheelwell liner on AP-1,or AP-2 !!!

 

thanks guys, I guess it was a momentary brain misfire. This doesn't bode well for my memory in my advanced years.

its scary when they hit at 34! I'm going to be wearing diapers by the time I am 40 at this rate.

 

Does anybody know if the rear liners are available as an option since they are not on there stock?? Would help to prevent all those rocks and pebbles from getting up in there.
