I need to do an oil change and the last time i did it myself i spent $33 for 5 bottles from Kragen. It seemed alot to me, is there anywhere else that i can get it cheaper?

 

I certainly hope you meant "where to get oil cheap" rather than "where to get Cheap Oil"..hahh..big difference right there

 

Walmart carries 5 quart containers of Mobil 1 Synthetic for 20-22 dollars.

Do S2000s eat much oil? I hear they eat some ...but not as bad as other sportscars?

mobil (no "e") 1 syn every 3500 miles is a waste. you should be waiting AT LEAST 5000 miles with a synthetic.

but, if you insist on 3500 miles, switch to havoline GF4. it's just as good if not better than mobil 1, and it costs less too.

Not always... oil still gets dirty with even the best of filters and needs to be changed, even with synthetic oil should be changed within four thousand miles. I took this advice from my friend who works at an oil change place. I went for about 3700miles once and when he looked at the oil he was like, "yea this needs to be changed" (it was pretty dirty). If you can go for a while without your oil getting dirty then go ahead. But just check the color every now and then to make sure that its not getting too dirty.

 

Is it ok to mix different brands of oil? My oil is running low and I don't know what brand the dealer used to change it. Its 10w30 so can I buy a quart of halvoline and add it in?
