Where is the port on the passenger side to plug into the computer???

 

Underneath the dash next to the radio right above the little cargo net in the passenger side footwell.

 

I always get to it on the driver side. Never tried it from the passanger side.

 

IIRC, and I could be wrong, it's in the passenger side for 00-01 cars, and was moved to the drivers side for 02+ cars. I'd have to double-check to make sure about that, though.

 

They moved it starting in 02 to the driver's side of the car.

 

Ok, I have a 2002! No wonder. I kept thinking it was on the passenger side!

SO where is it on the drivers side exactly? Thanks again,

 

Funny thing a few years ago I called Apex-i Japan trying to find out where the ECU was on an AP1... My Japanese isn't very good, and it didn't help either that they were trying to explain how the ECU placement changed... Then they were trying to be nice telling me that it was on the driver's side assuming that I had a US model... (but since I thought they meant JDM model) i swapped it back to passenger side... much like saying YOUR LEFT vs. MY RIGHT... It was a mess... Like trying to use sign language over the phone.
