Where's the love?
I was on the 280, near Palo Alto, the day before yesterday and honked at a fellow S2000 driver in his red 2002 or 03 beauty...no response. He was an Asian gentleman, around late 40's, who did not look amused.
How can you NOT drive an S2k with a smile?!!?
Ah well. Where is the love my peeps?!

exsilio, this subject has come up quite a bit over the years. I agree with you; I don't know how anyone could drive an S and not at least smile at another S. Though, the bay area does have many Ss around...
In my neck of the woods, that's very rare. Well, frankly, even seeing another S is rare, but I have yet to get a cold shoulder.

Hmmm, like chazmo said that doesnt seem to happen down here.
Yes, maybe its the fact that our cars arent seen everyday, at least not now during our winters
I havent had mine long but have gotten a few waves and
s up given. Maybe that older asain gentelman got laid-off and realized that he would have to give up the S? Just a thought...

I think you're overanalyzing this.
Some people take a lot of pride in their cars and love to share their enthusiasm with other drivers of the same make/model, but some people do not and would rather be left alone.
Next time, instead of honking, try giving a "thumbs up" or a smile and a wave.
