Whew, looped it on a wet road
I had my first (okay, second) close call last night...on my way home from dinner. It had been raining all evening, so the roads were wet. I wasn't even going very fast...just took a right-hander and around the came the back end. Fortunately, I was only doing maybe 20-25 mph and there was no oncoming traffic, so I just did a 180 and came to a stop. Didn't even leave the roadway...no harm, no foul I guess. Upon further reflection, I've decided I was an idiot, as the corner in question has very rough pavement, is slightly off camber, and I think I down-shifted right in the middle. And how many posts have I read about SO-2's being twitchy in the rain? Sheesh. Oh well, live and learn.
