I've got an '05 GPW and love it. I also lived on the east side of Ventura from 1966-68 and loved the area. Roads there are MUCH more conducive to enjoying a car like ours than here in flat, straight road central Fl.

Honda North America chose the colors that were sold here and the percentages of each. That is why we only got ~7 colors and Japan and Europe had like 15.

Also, white is the national color for Japan racing. It's also the color of mourning.
