Default Who Bought In January or During Winter?

I have an offer for under $30k for an '05. I can't forget that in less than 3 months, I would have a 1-yr old car.

So I am debating whether to wait until January and deal for an '06. (DBW bugs me, but I feel Honda will do it right.)

Anyone here who bought in the dead of winter? (and lives where there is really is a winter.)

Did the season allow you to haggle for close to invoice on a brand new model?

I am hoping I can walk in the dealership on a day with 6 inches of snow and get a great deal.

I paid $29,916 in January for my new 05. I think that you can do a little better than than now on a brand new 05, so I don't understand why anyone would pay more for a used 05 unless it has some attractive mods.
