Default Who do you let drive your car

I never really let many people drive my motorcycles, to easy to drop etc. I'll let most any responsible driver drive my truck. I only let my mechanic drive my chevelle. Who will I allow to drive my new s2k? I'm considering letting my gf drive the car since I commute 150 miles a day and she only drive about 5 miles a day? What do you all think. I would be driving her new civic si so it's not like I'll be without vtec.

No one. I have been the only driver of the S2000 since I got it with 7 miles on it. The only other time someone drove one of my cars was when I got a little to "happy" at happy hour and relinquished the keys to my friend.

No one. Obviously you have allow the mechanic to drive it when the car is in for a service, but i'm a bit nervous about that. They are often young and interested in trying out the S2000 as a change from all other bread-and-butter cars they work with... I tend to note the milage counter to check that they don't take any longer drives.

The only person that I would trust with the S2K is my wife. We have always had a standard shift car as one of our vehicles and she always does well. Over the years she has had the (dis)pleaure of driving the following:

67 MG Midget
69 Saab 99
74 Mustang II
76 Chevette
82 Renault Alliance
89 CRX SI
95 Trans AM
00 S2000

Maybe my wife. No one drives my Wing other than another Wing rider. Drop that and you won't get it back up.

I'd let any of my friends drive the S2000. I'm already asking a friend to drive it back from the dealership for me on delivery day (coz don't know how to drive one YET). Then my cousin will drive it. My co-worker will drive it. My wife will sit in it.

I let my dad drive it whenever he needs to get away.

My wife, My 21 year old son, my 19 year old son, my 17 year old son (but not my 9 year old son) and a bunch of my friends and a couple of valets (under scrutiny). Now being home coming season I hardly see it anymore.

Hey it's just a car!

s2001yellow

You crack me up. I love the fact that there are so many people who have become truly interested in sporting cars because of this car. I think it's great that this is going to be some peoples first "new" car, not just the latest thing out. This will be my second "new" car purchase, and the 3rd car I've owned.

Good luck with the stick s2001yellow. I've taught many people how to drive stick. They all hated me while I taught them, but none of them are now scared of stand still traffic on an on-ramp o bridge. I taught my sister and before every lesson was done I made her park, start, and stop on the side of the Mississippi River leavy.
