Everyone constantly praises the OEM lip on the AP2 S2000... and I can't see why. I almost think that it destroys the classy, timeless look of the S2000.

It looks tacked on to me... almost like an afterthought from Honda. Am I just crazy?

 

before I bought mine some picture made it look great and some was the opposite but once I ordered mine and put it on it looks pretty nice.......

 

mugen lip looks way better

 

I don't think I like it either, though I'm still somewhat undecided. The side profile is what bothers me I think.

Fortunately, there is a local NFR to me with the OEM lip so I'll have to see it in person before I totally make up my mind.

It's personal preference but I agree with above that I don't care for the profile the 04 lip does to the front. All the other angles look pretty good IMO.

As for the Mugen lip.......it's nice and was my first choice but until someone makes it in Polyurethane I'm sticking to OEM.

 

It took me some time just to warm up to the '04 bumper... seemed unfinished. I cannot see the lip striking my fancy anytime soon. I didn't like the Mugen one at first, but am coming around on that one.

But that is only my opinion. Doesn't mean squat to those that have/like it.

 

If I had an AP1, there's no doubt that I'd get the front lip eventually. I've seen the AP2 version in person and it's Ok I suppose but I don't like it as much as the older version. Of course, I've not added anything to my car yet. About the only things I'm certain to do eventually is the rear spoiler ("not" the wing), the in trunk CD player, and the usual speaker upgrades. I'm leaning toward the S-Pods so far.
