Default Who Drives A Winter Beater?

People always talk about buying a cheap beater car to save the s2k from the snow and salt.
Not to mention the problems associated with driving a rwd car in the snow.

Wanted to see how many people drive real beaters.
You know, a really inexpensive car bought to get through the winter months.

or how many have another car for the winter but it’s not a beater.

True winter beater for me
1996 Toyota Corolla w/ 98K miles, purchased in November for $1,500

I use to have a 92 Accord for a beater but ended up selling it to afford a new block since my s2k had a scored cylinder. My s2k has been my DD for over a year with no problems!
Here was my accord. Bought for $200, I did a $50 paint job on it, and then sold for $1600..oops!

dude your poll is messed up...I also drive a beater, a lovely 98 pontiac sunfire with super faded black paint and a huge dent in the rear panel, with rattle can paint over it..... IMO it is the definition of "beater". rare for pontiacs with 130k on them it runs like champ.

There was supposed to be three choices for voting, not one.

Maybe a mod could fix it for me

S2k stays in the garage unless there is Sun & hot weather.

Rain/Snow/Bars= '05 Mercury Sable. Nice cruiser, and is very incognito.

I opted for "No, I drive another car in the winter but it’s not a beater"

But it is RWD and has snow tires on it currently.
