Default Who else got ripped off by 4IGS2000?

I paid for one of his illuminated shift knobs on January 9th and have yet to see a refund (it turns out that not enough people bought them so he couldn't afford to manufacture them). He finally answered one of my refund requests and wanted to know my Paypal account name in order to issue a credit. I sent it to him about two weeks ago but I still don't have a refund and now he isn't answering my emails. Did this happen to anyone else?

I, as well as most of the Bay Area guys, know 4ig personally. He may be scatterbrained at his worst , but I don't think he's trying to rip anyone off. He's been spending alot more time and money on his GTI... that's probably why he hasn't been very active on the board lately. Honestly, you gotta feel for the guy. He developed a really cool product, and enough people said they would order the part. He finally comes out with the prototype, then only 1/4 of the people actually send money, which would put him way in the negative after spending for the tooling and mfg costs... Maybe try finding him on AIM?

come on now, give him a break, if anybody's screwed over in all of this, it would be him. Try to reach him on AIM, I highly doubt he's trying to rip you off.

Another Bay Area Owner here who knows and has purchased products from 4IGS2000...He's a great guy & I'm absolutely sure there was just some honest miscommunication here. Sorry to hear about your problem, but 4IG is good for it & he'll make things right...

Howdy CF.....just wanted to chime in here. I think your problem is an anomally. 4Igs has been really responsive to all. While I have never met him I have witnessed his responses to a business deal gone a foul (not by any of his doing I might add). Try Email or AIM to get a hold of him. I'm sure it's a oversight and not a "rip-off".

Its not an anomaly - several of us have been trying repeatedly both in private and in multiple forums here to get his attention and get a refund. I'll try phoning the number he posted. He will as you all know receive an E mail to let him know that someone has posted a reply to this thread. I wish I had friends like this!

Well I have now phoned the above number - left a message, received a PM to which I responded, and still no refund.

Anybody else out there still w/o a refund?
