What? You don't like getting sunburned and sweaty everywhere you go?

My S2000 to me is extreme (little cargo room, no backseats, tight interior, no tq); a proper sports car that is awesome as a convertible. If i want comfort i've got other cars to drive.

+1 for coupe version

I initially gave up the opportunity to buy a CR model because I didn't think I would ever get used to the soft top. Now I think I do like it when the weather is perfect but like others have said that opportunity is rare. In my area it is either cold or really hot. The thing that makes me wish for a coupe version the most is when the top is down and all the creeks stop. I have to give credit to honda for making a soft top convt with imperceptive body roll. That was another fear I had about the car.

I am not a fan of the aftermarket stuff. I wish Honda made something like the blue rendering in this thread. I would have paid double to get something like that now. let's hope honda's new S2k replacement is refined and offers a hard top convertable like the miata.

I'm going to stab at making an assumption - correct me if I'm wrong...

Seems that most ppl that would prefer a coupe have the S2k as their daily main vehicle? So a coupe would be a bit more functional to those people.
Those preferring a soft top perhaps are the ones that use the S2k as a weekender or summer car?

My s2000 is a nice weather toy and sees 5,000-6,000 miles a year. That said, I did use a 95 Miata as a 3 season DD and a speed 3 as an alternate car. So the soft top doesn't factor in. That said the Miata was more comfortable than the s2000.

Well you could add a hardtop, or even worse a folding hardtop convertible roof, with all that extra weight.

But why only go that far. Why not add a rear seat & a couple more doors, move the transmission to the front, & drive the front wheels while you're at it.

Why not just buy the Civic & be done with it. Oh I know, you want the fashion statement of the sporty little car, just not the car.

The reason I have the S2000 is because it was the only modern convertible that was more drivers car than posers car. I guess there are more posers than drivers, hence all the coupes.

I never use the convertible feature thingy. Only reasons I got this cars was - it's a Honda, awesome engine (I love B, K and F series engines), Rwd, small and light, suspension, chassis. I hate convertibles.

I wasn't a huge fan of the convertible aspect going when i first got the car, I have warmed up to it a bit, but I would really prefer a coupe.

I also live in Kansas where the 2 options are freezing or scorching hot
