Default Who else is putting off engine mods?

I've been saving and finally have the dough for a SC and Differential upgrade but I have to put it on hold.
I filled up my tank this morning and premium gas was $2.54/gallon.
Oil per barrel went up again pushing gas prices even higher.
I'm putting off modding my engine/drive train with hopes things will turn around soon.
I get 28 mpg now, with the mods it will be around 20 mpg.
Just wanted to express my frustration!!!

What I love is the fact that they charge you more now for oil that's not even out of the ground yet

$2.54? Bah, don't whine, I pay something like $6 a gallon here!

But at least I can drive as fast as I want... sometimes.

damn opec.

It's too bad the environmentalists fight tooth and nail against drilling in Alaska, which has a shitload of oil...then you have Kerry's plan for energy independence which I guess calls for embracing others or something...yea.

High performance and MPG are inversely proportional. Then again, a SC and a differential are about the same price as a number of '00 used sportbikes that will do the quarter mile in under 11 seconds and still get 35-40 mpg.

My eyes get glassed over and my palms get sweaty when I think about S2K mods--do you think I care about gas prices?!!!

Then again, it could be a medical condition...
