Who is the Fastest?
Don't know how high above sea level Rockfalls Raceway is so I can't do a corrected number. Don't have the timeslips anymore, but that's what I recall from memory.
When I was NA, I ran 14.2@97MPH.
With the Vortech, I ran 13.4@106MPH.

Why aren't they? it's a front engine, RWD car? sounds like it should do reasonably good in a drag race..
now the cars that aren't built for drag racing are FWD cars..
I can't post my times because there wasn't a drag strip in my last state (the nearest one in the US was 2.5-hrs away) and my Tazzo, as per request, isn't invited to the party.
I will say, however, that my dad's GS400 has a host of 13.8 timeslips (he lives in another state) and we've taken our cars to a 1/4-mile strip at an old airport (no official timers though) and I routinely beat it by two car lengths. Even with my brother driving the Lexus. My bro took the S2000 and I took the GS400, just to see how much the driver difference would make and two runs both had me about a car and a half behind the Honda and my bro doesn't really like to drive stick.
On another note, just for consistency, I've also beaten dad on the same strip with him and my brother exchanging seats in my '99 SVT Lightning.
The Ford averages 14.1 at the strip (bone stock). I let my dad keep it because he uses it for errands. I have no use for it right now so he doesn't drive it too much. No matter who drives it, my Honda usually beats the SVT by 3 lengths, which is about right (according to my Tazzo).
Ooops...didn't mean to bring it up.

Don't ask me about his latest toy, a Jaguar XJR. It's modified and kicks my ass though even stock, I think it would have.
That ain't no Vanden Plas.
Anyways, fun topic to banter about but in reality, you can't compare times unless they are run on the same track in the same weather conditions, otherwise, it's nothing but speculation to compare times which come to think of it, isn't too far removed from assuming any accelerometer run on a less than perfect abandoned road can't possibly be duplicated on a sticky track prepped for such testing.

Anyone in the 12's deserves a thumbs up. That's impressive in any arena.

I Can't possibly remeber ONE TIME being on a dealership lot where the saleman said, "And sir, this car was built for drag racing"
No cars are. But people can choose to do what they like with THEIR OWN vehicles.
