When starting my (newly purchased) 05 with 15k miles, I get a clunk sound right when the car fires up. Someone at the dealer told me it has something to do with the exhaust pipe thingy jetting sideways from the middle of exhaust system. The sound it similar to something clacking underneath of the car like an exhaust hanger knocking against something.

Are we all getting this or is there a fix?

have someone check the bottom when you fired it up...then you can go from there...

 

MY07 with 19K just started doing this. I'm going to bring it up with the dealer on the next oil change.

 

Record a video. Sometimes cat shields have been known to rattle. And sometimes, the cat honeycomb breaks loose causes a big rattle on startup....

 

please let me know what the dealer says. I'm outa warranty.
