As mingster noted, yes I am one of the high mile S2000 here.
I am at 55,000 miles but in real I should be around 52,000 due to the final gear ratio change.
No major or minor problem except the bearing failure in transmission due to the final gear(secondary transmission) installed with improper shim at first.
Anyway, I swear I've seen johev's post about his car hitting 60000 miles! right now.
With little more than 2 years of ownership I went through,
2 front tires, 4 rear tires but oddly still on original brake pads.
Because, I brake for no one.
I changed out trasmission/differential oil more frequently than recommended.
Be sure to check the condition of the heat/ac air filter located underneath passenger side wiper blade after about a year and check the condition of the drive belt if you are over 50000+.
My mechanic said my drive belt is due replacement pretty soon.
Kinda amazing that the car is still in-tact pretty good even after my heavy modifications.
Initially my car was serviced by the dealer but I was very dismayed by their incompetance, so I found the local shop with the mechanic that I really trust and did all the maintenance works as well as any modification works. I am so lucky that the mechanic does great job and never disappoints.
