I will be buying an S2K REAL SOON and I drive a lot of miles. My old car, 91 Accord EX 5 sp, will retire with 438,000 miles. Not looking to get that many out of an S2K but who knows. Please list MY with miles.

The S2k is a special car. It's made in Japan's Honda Corps TOP factory plant. From what I understand, at least for my 01, only the S2k and NSX were put together there that year. I am a firm believer that cars made in Japan are put together better. My '90 Accord had 280K with original plugs and brake pads until I retire it last year and that too was Japan made.

other things to consider are that this car was DESIGNED to rev 9K from the factory. That's alot of confidence that Honda is placing on this car and still have reliability.

Btw I got my perfect 01 last week with 59K for 17.25K. I have extreme faith I will get 300K out of this buy and not have any guilt whatsoever doing so.

Faith is good... tempered by a little realism sometimes helps, though. My bet is that it'll be the rare S2k that makes it to 300k. Between mis-shifts, bent valves, dropped pumpkins, RWD newbies and throttle oversteer, I think the casualty rate is pretty high....

And for the "most miles" question... remember SEARCH is your friend.

There are a couple guys with >100k miles. One with a supercharger as well!

 

yup... last time i heard there was someone with about 150k... and that was a couple months ago... so its probably getting close to 200 by now

 

Tried the search for miles driven, high miles and miles. All resulted in zero threads. Just thought I would ask here. With 70+ views and only 3 reply, I take it most drive theirs on Sunday only. From test driving a few of these I can't wait to drive one every day Atleast until I have to buy the first set of tires This could be just as expensive as driving my 4WD Tahoe every day. I am SO DONE driving that big gas hog!

There's a dude in the NY Metro area with 100k+ I've seen it, and seeing beleaving. I forget the screen name but he's on here Jiopi or something to that affect.

 

HeCash has 75k + just on his SUPERCHARGER!! his car has well over 100k... and its mostly track too!
