Who has spun their S2000?
Seems to be a lot of internet mythology about S2000s spinning off the road, just like the many tales of Porsche 911's that also should have died off in the 90s after they addressed the suspension and tire combo.
So, who has actually spun their S2000 off the road, unintentionally, and how did it happen?
Also, AP1 or AP2? AP2s should be less inclined to oversteer, reportedly.

I did a fishtail during the first couple of months of ownership. I was doing a u turn and I shifted into 2nd gear and the car began to fishtail. I never changed gears during a u turn again.
It's all physics not mythology.
Haven't spun my s2000 but have spun my 911 5 times at speed on the track.
911's spin for the same reason as any other car, it's just that the 60r/40f weight makes the spin more sudden and extreme.( this 60/40 also improves braking and traction and becomes a plus when you learn how to use it).
With 50/50 the s2000 is less sensitive.
Spins result from the rear tires braking traction, either from breaking the grip of the tires with excessive throttle( for the specific piece of pavement you're on) or by not enough throttle shifting weight forward.
I think that VSA helps with the excessive power, not sure if it can do anything about drop throttle oversteer.

I've only lost it on AutoX, and had to work hard to push it far enough to lose it.
Came close on the street once when I was new to the car and thought I was going to show off to a friend. Turned off VSA, in the wet, over a rise, around a turn. Rear kicked out quick but she responded like a dream and came right back in line.
Now after more AutoX events, I just don't push that hard on the street.
