To the best of my knowlege my 2002 S2000 has never had a significant issue, no warranty work and no real defects. It currently has 58,000 miles. It has had one TCT replaced, but that seems like normal maintenance on this car. The engine runs like a top, doesn't burn oil, the transmission shifts flawlessly with zero issues under any condition, the diff. seems quiet. All major components still running without issue.

My only complaint is the soft paint, it will chip if you sneeze too hard, but they all do that.

Bought new in June 2002 and now has 115,000 miles. Never ever took in the car to the dealer in it's lifetime as 1)never trusted dealer with service, 2) it never had any problems, and 3)and do my own fluid and brake/rotor maintenance. Did 32000 miles the first year with tons of group and canyon drives. 2nd year had a lot of track days. Still on stock clutch as well. Engine and tranny runs like new. I do have a nagging squeek from rear but think it's from a dirty bushing. It's been a garage queen since 2007 since started a family. My others cars: 08 Mazdaspeed3 and 09 Pilot.

not a single thing wrong with it until late last year when the top ripped in its usual place. 07 with 23,000 miles on it, 16,000 miles put on the first year as it was my daily and fun toy, second year I got my bike and now the S sits in the driveway dirty and looking sad when i take the bike out every day. The S is now my rainy day driver only and still nothing wrong, I did notice the battery was weak a few months ago after it had not been started all summer (I went about 7 months without starting the S) and just before Xmas I noticed a rip in the top, patched it and its still a great car.

I've owned my 2002 S for three years as of the beginning of this month. It has a touch over 21.5k miles and has never had any problems during my ownership. To my knowledge, the previous two owners also had no problems though since the last owner was a little pudgy, the driver's seat bolster is a bit prematurely worn. I lost 20 pounds this year (on purpose) and so further wear of the bolster, if it ever was an issue for me, will no longer be one.

Of the three owners, I have driven the most (10k miles in three years) and would therefore be the likeliest to have any problems. Oil changed every year, tranny and rear diff fluid changed last year, car feels new.

Bought the car with 23,599 on the clock, and it now has 58,xxx. I haven't done anything other than fluid changes, and fixed problems that I caused myself
