Default Who here is using K&N Drop in with stock box?

Hello,

I searched but no luck.

Q: Who is using a K&N drop in with their stock box?

Q: Did you feel any noticible difference.

Q: How much better is a K&N compared to an OEM filter?

My plans are to use the K&N drop in with a snorkle or the AUT cooling plate with air duct.

This will be my first time going this route. I have always bought the AEM CAI for my cars and they all came with a K&N filter. It was good for AEM so why not as a drop in?

Thanks in advance,

Mike

No, I won't be able to make it. G/F's birthday and she minds me spending my time on her special day gawking at other cars instead of her....lol.

Anyone else?

I had it, it was day and night different. I pulled on a m3 with just that jk. I didn't notice any noticable different. I think it would help if u have a snorkel.

I've got one, I figured that if i had to buy two stock filters then I could buy a KN filter. I'm happy with it.

I did an install about a week ago;no difference in performance but the serviceablity over the OEM unit was my deciding factor for the purchase.

I had K&N before instaling my BMC CDA and compared to the OEM air filter it gives better throttle response. I would recommend to get it.

I've had one for the last 6 months. Thought there was a miniscule gain and better throttle response, but hard to tell because 1) the filter i replaced did not look like a Honda filter; 2) I also put in Denso IK22 at the same time.

It does keep you from having to replace your filter every 15k miles. I think it's time to service mine, not really sure how to go about cleaning it (my previous K&N purchases were flat).

Since you are in my area, you can try it at the next GTG. (Drop it into your car and go around the block).

i didn't notice any difference. i have the kn filter and a snorkel.
i'd figure the the kn will last 30k at least and the oem gets replaced at 15k. so basically it's the same price so why not.
snorkel got rid of the heat bog which can make the car feel like it's torqueless.
