I think if I ever got a flat I'd just call a flatbed tow truck since I never take the S2K on trips farther than 100 miles away. I might as well save some weight and ultimately...gas!

I have an amp where the spare used to be. I have a cell phone, a can of fix-a-flat and lots of friends in the area.

A fair amount of new cars are coming with a can of "fix-a-flat" and an air compressor. That being said, I still carry the spare... along with the fix-a-flat.

BTW, how much weight do you save if you got rid of the spare tire and tools?

It's about the equivalent of a 2-3whp gain.

I've been stranded a few times because I didn't have a spare tire. Never would I drive w/o a spare tire again!! Should of learned my lesson the first time.

I leave my spare at home unless I go on a road trip.

can o fix o flat is just fine to get somewhere to get fixed. I have had my spare out for about 10k miles and unless something really bad happens to the tire I am going to be just fine. I have use fix a flat on every flat I have ever had and still going.
