depends how lose it is. its entirely possible that you won't get full throttle if its too lose.. the pedal only depresses so far, and therefore, it can only pull the cable so much.

I imagine on most cars, you will have ~1/4 inch deflection when the cable is adjusted almost all the way tight (i.e. you're almost out of threads)

question about the clutch.
how do you remove the play in the clutch pedal?

i did this to my 2K as well as my friends 2K. And I would have to say it did make a difference in throttle response. 1st gear no bog what so ever, and I have a competition stage 4 clutch and bog use to be my best friend and 1st gear was always a PITA but now its remarkably better IMHO. good adjustment
Yea, i would say its better. It does seem to have a lil better response

When the factory assembles the car the throttle cable is loose (has a play). If those bolts come loose from milage it would be very little change. The bolts lock eachother into place so they should not come loose.

Whatever you adjusted wasn't your throttle cable. MY06 have drive by wire.

haha

read this thread last night. decided to tighten mine up about halfway today

it's definitely nice to not have that slight lull coming out of being stopped at lights.

I think i tightened mine to tight. I stepped on the gas and nothing would happen when i opened my hood i found my hamster dead in his wheel. I think i might have chocked him.
