Those thieves will steal anything, first our antennas and seats, now our throttle cables!
You should get the Mugen throttle cable - guaranteed 10 WHP at least!

i just did mine after i read this post last night. I have an 00, and after I did it, it feels great, but i m not sure if i am doing too tight. the idle now is about 900-1000. I dun really understand about 1/4 slack that you guys were talking about...should I adjust it back or??

when you push up on the exposed cable right in front of the nuts you used to tighten it, it should deflect about 1/4 inch before it starts to turn the rotary air control valve.. i.e., it shouldn't be tight when your foot isn't on the gas pedal.. you should be able to move the cable around in the engine bay. I don't know how else to explain it. Your car should idle about 900 rpm.

Make sure you guys don't over tighten it though. Too tight + full throttle = snapped throttle cable = going no where fast.

Checking mine tonight.
