I understand your annoyance with this kid, but he may very well own a S2000. Some parents do not act as responsible as they should Buying a car like this for 15-16 yr old kid is like giving someone a gun and not teaching them how to use it properly. this car (like any car, but more so in a RWD high powered twitchy beast) is extremely dangerous if driven incorrectly and I think a child who has driven for less then a year should not get anywhere near one.

WOW! I don't necessarily 'feel' for Tiger8119, but you guys need to stop trashing on teens. I just turned 17 today, I OWN an S2000(I bought it), I'm paying insurance, and I have no accidents or tickets(yet). I'm not a reckless driver, and I don't speak like Tiger8119. You can't bash on teens in general. I've had no complaints on people's attitude on this board until now. Let Tiger talk how he wants to and don't waste your time bashing on him because he's young and has an S2000. Let him(and me) be.

On the contrary, I believe 2004 is the last run. Honda promised that the S2000 would only last one generation. That's usually only 4 years. So getting one new will be pretty hard after 2004.

I have nothing against teenagers. They can dream, admire and save to get their car. I spend a lot of time working on my car and driving with a 17 year old from my church. He's saving up for a Pulsar that he's going to mod to low 13 second specs. (he's already worked out how, that's how enthusiastic he is). He still has 1 more year to go at High school. He still has an apprenticeship to do before he'll even be on 15K a year before tax. If he doesn't start planning now, then he won't get his car. And his is only going to cost 10K, not 30K. I think it's great that he has his eyes on what he wants, and is taking action to get it.

I bought my S2k while I was 21. I was still in University. I paid for it from my income from industrial year. I barely spent a cent that I didn't have to, I wanted a sports car that much. But when I got in there, the Sales person automatically sent me to "financing", and the woman asked "Would you like us to arrange finance for you, or would you like to arrange your own finance?" I replied "I'd like to pay for it in cash." and I did. You should have seen her face. So I know how hard it is for young people to get expensive sports cars. Even now, I still get "Dad's car?" questions thrown at me.

On the other hand, I do have something against people who can't even express the courtesy to write properly. Yeah yeah, I know, this isn't english class. I've been flamed for saying that before. But I think this is a real testament to how I've become. I read the post SilverS2KAZ posted, and I saw the quote. And I thought to myself "I don't remember Tiger8119 posting that." I checked back and saw that I had subconsciously skipped past that post without trying to interpret it. I don't know what language you call that, but it wasn't english. It was something contructed out of phonetic english and thrown together without any gramatical rules.

All I can say to people is, if you want your post read and understood, write properly. You wouldn't mumble and slur when talking, so don't just throw words together when writing.
