its a black vinyl tape that is applied to the windshield frame ( A-pillar), underneath the tape is the body color. There may be blems to the paint though. I had a small quarter size blem that looked like someone had sanded it a little. Other than that the paint was perfect. On the flip side the paint may have no blems. So that's something you're supposed to take off? Do most dealers not know about it?
