I don't think that statment is fair. Granted some cops are on a power trip, but many others are just trying to keep the rest of us safe. I'm sure if you were in a dark ally and a couple of thugs were approaching you would be happy to see a cop pull up.

Hah. I thought the same thing.

And yes, they must have thought you were seriously intoxicated in order to blow through a redlight infront of two of them. It's a good thing they were polite about their error.
