I was at wanabe's house when we found the spring spacer in the car. There was only one, but it was strange to find one in there. I checked my car, and it looks like they are all out.

It's not necessary to remove the wheel. Some creative viewing positions and/or some creative groping is enough. I've looked at my springs about ten times, but I'm paranoid there's still one lurking somewhere. It seems like a magician's hat...

after being in the shop for major repairs twice, I still found one on my car while changing brake lines 8 months into ownership
