Default Who's leaving their S2000 stock?

After owning a heavily modified car for 4 years, its nice driving a pure stock fun-driving car. No longer do I have to worry about bending my 3 piece rims or wondering if my supercharger belt will snap, or FMU fail, or god knows what else.

My buddies dont believe I can leave the car stock. But the S2000 is so fun to drive right out the box, I truly believe there's no reason to mess with it.

I'm going to leave mine stock, at least for a while (not includeing the factory spoilers, which I want). True, the s2k is one of the few honda "sports" cars that you can leave stock and it will still look and perform like no other. The NSX is the same way. I mean, you don't even have to lower it to achieve that agressive race stance (the way you have to with the integras, preludes, etc.). Even the exhaust sounds good out of the box.

with the exception of the Honda rear spoiler (which is probably considered stock), Mark's X-Brace (which still needs to be installed), Rick's visor stickers & Rick's shift boot, my s2000 will probably remain stock for the duration. . . I'm not big into modifications & I don't drive it enough to warrant $2K+ on Volk Te-37's. . .

I may purchase the hardtop at the end of the year, though that probably still falls under the "stock" category.

By the way, Iceman. . . Nice screen name

Leaving mine stock, except for adding a amp, new door speakers, and a sub.

I'm not saying - you can get in REALLY BIG trouble advocating that on this Forum!

Only if you're an absolutely aggressive anus about advocating it! (You probably know who I'm referring to.)

How stock is stock? I'm keeping mine stock enough to run in SCCA AS autocross, at least until I decide I MUST GO FASTER on track days. But I'm making some cosmetic mods and also upgrading/adding speakers. The car looks great, but to me accessories available from our sponsors improve the overall enjoyment.

You will never get in trouble enjoying your car stock, keeping it stock or thinking stock is better for you - those people who started trouble a while back told others who modified they were wrong to do so and wasting their money.
I respect owners/leasers doing whatever they wish as long as they respect others viewpoint.
This is null and void if you build an S2000 Batmobile, I may have to flame you.
