I think the assumption was that if someone was so portly as to suffer from leaning across seats to unlock, then they would be seeking a different car.
Even so, I would've like a double unlock action on the driver-side to unlock the passenger side.

I never really cared that there was no unlock button. I can see how it would be annoying if someone was use to an unlock button in a previous car. But for me, it's simple enough to lean over and flick the lever.




The car's so small anyway. So I never found that a problem hehe
