Default why did you buy the hardtop

I have a 2003 GPW, this is my second S, I previously had a silverstone 2002. I am thinking of buying a hardtop, but am having second thoughts, because I can't imagine when I would use it. I live in the South, so its warm enough year around to drive with top down (with occasional exceptions)

The S is not my every day car, I drive an Acura TSX daily. Would the hardtop be of any use to me (i don't think they are particulary attractive)

honestly i wouldn't buy one.

people buy it because of having extra money, and just for looks.

i wouldn't buy one even when i have the money, just my opinion.

bought a convertible because it's a convertible

Have you ever thought that people wanted the car as a coupe instead of a convertible?

My CF Mugen arrives tomorrow! I can't wait! I mostly got it for looks. A convertible is fun, But sometimes, I just want a different look. Maybe it will cut some noise down too.

IMO, the S doesn't look that good with the hardtop or when the top is up. The S really, really looks good when the top comes down, and that's when the S gets the most attention. If the S had never came in convertible form, I don't think I would of ever bought the S.

I got for a host of reasons, because I could, because I wanted the option of driving a coup if it suited me, variety, because not alot of S cars have them, resale value if I wanted to sell...

Don't get it. I bought one for the colder months when I don't take the top down(not that I reall need it, but I like the look) but if I were a little further south I wouldn't even bother. Every warm day that you have it on, you'll regret it because you'll want to be cruising with the top down. Put the money in go fast stuff or audio or wheels or brakes.

Why are you even considering it? It doesn't sound like you have any reason for one.

I have them because we park our Ss outside year round and I hate to see the soft tops get rained on and frozen in the winter. As soon as the rain is done, the tops come off. We have them on from about December to March, but this year maybe longer.
