Default Why did you buy a s2000?

Hi my name's Leo and I've been lurking for a while ( long enough to find out where the "secret compartment" is ). I currently own a S14 but I've been wanting a s2k since forever. I'm in between buying a 350z & the S2K (AP1 ofcourse ). I just wanted to see why all of you bought one. Honestly if I bought one I'd leave it stock and daily it ( I'm 6'1" and I'm used to driving small cars). One more thing...I love the atmosphere this forum has compared to other honda forums. I guess s2k= mature owners

i love my car but i hate my car its a love/hate relationship i dd my car so its kinda annoying driving as much as i do but at least i look good in it and cant beat the 9k revs and gas mileage (came from a g35) =o). As for your questiong i bought the car because i always wanted the car since the first fast and furious installment. and right after high school i bought one and never looked back!

although i was about to rid of the car till i started to mod it sigh....damn s2000 why you gotta be so fun!!

The Honda S2000 is my favorite car - just needs a blower! Seriously, I went car shopping with a buddy, we looked at C6s, M Roadsters, 03-04 Cobras, etc etc... and I came to the conclusion that unless I spend another 40K+ on top of my S2000, I just wouldn't be happy with any other car. Its the best car out there for the money and I love owning it. 350Zs are a dime a dozen and bloated. Good call on the S2000 and welcome.

Oh and AP2 FTW.

Lol, Fast and Furious is one reason why I wouldn't get a car....I'm getting one because the looks of it is timeless and its one of those styles that won't go out of style. I also wanted something that was a bit classier and I think the s2000 fits the bill perfectly in everyone of those aspects.

Suislide,
I hope you have driven both cars, I test drove an '04 track model (I actually didn't even notice until I asked them about the special color) and like everyone said...it was heavy...gearbox was not smooth...and all those other things people say. I also hated the quality of the interior, I felt like I was in a giant tuperware container.

I test drove the s2k in last year. I was too scared to go past 3k cuz it was starting to pull and had nice torque. I never test drove the Z but I've gone inside it many times. It has more space but the interior is cheap. I'd consider a MX-5 but I want something similar that has balls. The S2K definately feels more of a fun car than the faster Z.

I'm on my 15th car, I'll be 26 next month. I have my time through cars. My first car was actually a truck. I had a B2200 Mazda, also owned a Isuzu Pup! My first Honda was a 96 Coupe that was a blast til' I got hit from a kid running a red light. After that I picked up a 99 Integra GS, That lasted 11 car payments. I was on my way to get an ultra sound with my wife and a 16 year old girl failed to yield. Was a bad day. I took a break from the "car scene" for/during the rest of her pregnancy and eventually got back into it when I got tired of the Kia Sophia! I picked up a 93 Integra, I had a XSI B16 motor in it that last one month before I couldn't handle the lack of torque. I built a LS/V set up that lasted a few months. I still have the DA but during all this time I was being promoted and working my way up the food chain in my career. I always had money to spend, I always used it well and invested. I got into the S2000 scene when I moved in with my long time friend Brandon who is a tuner for Dyno Inc here in Virginia. All the cars we got to play with I couldn't resist the interior and comfort of the S2000 on my body. I'm 5'6'' 165 pounds and this damn car fits me like a glove! The owner of Auto Elite two shop bays down has a S thats supercharged, it's so lovely. That car made me go out on a hunting spree, I searched for 2 months before I found what I drive daily now. I love me S, and I will never ever let this thing go. I'll have more cars, and continue on my racking up of my car numbers. I just won let this one go!!!!

Wall of text where?!
