My Apexi is fine when I installed mine. But I guess it has to do something related to your exhaust since the CEL light came on when you put on your exhaust.

It is a "knock sensor." Thats what I was told by Honda and the smog place.

try resetting your ecu... the car has to "learn" it has a new poart installed, which is why one would reset the ecu, so it can "learn" quicker...
if its not that then im not sure what it could be, is it properly installed? no leaks?
or maybe its just coincidence that the CEL came on when you installed the exhaust, and its something else causing it

hope you figure it out,

The knock sensor is under the intake manifold. Your exhaust didn't effect it. What code is stored, and what else did they tell you?

I have had it checked out. The first time the dealer replaced the spark plugs, but that didnt work for very long. Now, its too low for them to even get it on a lift. Im putting the stock exhaust back on tomorrow and will see if I can tell what was wrong.

Thank you. They didnt tell me anything else. My car was in an accident a while back (the CEL was already on before the accident.) I think the shop my car was at even replaced my header trying to get rid of the CEL. I couldnt imagine why else I had a used OEM header sitting in my trunk.

Did they check the knock sensor itself? Maybe it's damaged or out of spec.

UPDATE: For some reason, the CEL was not on when I just drove the car. I raced to the smog place and PASSED! WOOOHOOO. I am still going to be ordering my new exhaust today!
