I've always wondered why people park their convertibles with the top down. I see this habit frequently here in Los Angeles...

 

The trouble of putting it back up and then putting it back down when you leave. Maybe it was a quick stop, less strain on the top motor.

I don't. Ever.

 

Nor I. I hate having to lock the glove box and put the Thomas Guide and CD holders in the trunk. Plus I can't relax knowing some kid could climb in and play racecar driver.

i never park with the top down unless im at a friends house hanging out outside... or if its parked in the garage.... but if i go to the mall or even for a 2 minute stop i put the top up..... if something DOES happen... would u feel good knowing you could have prevented it for 6 seconds of your time?

 

because i think the car looks better with the top down, .. not to mention that im lazy.


note-- this is only where i can keep an eye on the car or i know that its safe and for short periods of time.

 

because its a roadster?
because of the boot?
because the top is never up unless i am washing it?
because if someone wants in, they will slash the top and if its down, they wont?
because its covered and so it doesnt matter whether the top is up or not?

better questions- "why do you park with the top up?"
or
"what top???"

 

I even wash it with the top down.
