I am right with you buddy. We get the most stripped down version there is, of all the Honda cars. WHY. Can't get Nav. system, M/C blue and all other colors, Clear corners, Higher compression, etc....

The same reason you can't get the nav, auto climate control, and other options on the Celica. The same reason AYC isn't available on the EVO. Americans are cheap and don't want to spend the extra $$$

That would be a valid statement if the S2000 was being built locally, but it is not. Since all of the cars are built in the exact same plant in Japan, how hard would it REALLY be to offer the same colors and options to the USA as they do to the rest of the world? One arguement to this would it might be more parts that the dealers would have to support and keep in stock. For a low production car, it might be too much of a liability. That all being said, even though I love my Sebring S, I would kill for a Monte Carlo blue one.

IMO I dun see the point of S2000 having a navigation since it's a pure sports car as well a stick shift. I used to drive a 2000 Acura 3.2 TL with navi, but I think it really only gives the look rather than function except when you are REALLY lost. Just thought that I might share.

for what the dealer would charge for the nav system, you could put one in for maybe half the cost. some options on a car are worthless to add on at the dealer.

The Japanese have never exported the top of the line products..

Damn, whatever happened to road maps? At the time I bought my S2000 last year, I would rather have an option list that had something to do with performance/comfort rather than something that for $500 (or more) is simply going to replace a $3.95 item. How much would such a system add to the price and figure what other goodies they could drop in the car for the same amount of moola...an oem X brace perhaps? How about a tilt wheel?
Then again...I could care less if it had made the option list as long as I had the choice of not paying for it but Honda America would no doubt have put 'em in every single car and passed the "if you want an S2000, you'll have to pay for the Nav system it comes with" added cost on to us.
No thanks...if I can't get my OEM X-brace, at least give me a decent radio.
